Immunity Shots | To a healthy Autumn

It’s that time around, flue season. Next to all the beautiful colours and spices this season has to offer, it also is the season where tons of people end up having the flue. I myself am a little sick right now, but to prevent that from happening to you or to help cure your cold here’s a little shot/drink full of antioxidants to flush those bad bacteria and toxins right out of you.

I brewed this up this morning thinking to myself, oh this will be absolutely disgusting, but I ended up liking it actually. I cut up about a thumb size amount of fresh ginger and juiced it. I added some lemon juice next, then about a teaspoon of turmeric powder, followed by a sprinkle of cayenne pepper or chilli and lastly a little bit of maple syrup. To diffuse the whole thing a bit I added some warm water and a splash of apple juice, which made the whole thing taste more like an autumn pleasure drink rather than an Immunity Shot.

That would be all for today’s brewing. Hope you are enjoying your bacteria fighting drink. Until next time, toodles, bye bye, ciao, au revoir, tschüss.
